SRPMIC Unveils New Website

By

The SRPMIC officially debuts an all-new and improved website featuring fresh designs with dynamic content

Have you seen the new Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community website? Though the website address remains the same, the entire SRPMIC website has undergone upgrades.

The new website arrived after months of planning from directors, managers and staff. The official debut of the new website took place on June 18 and is constantly maintained and updated by staff in the Community Relations Office.

Now on the front page, website visitors will immediately see videos showcasing traditional basket dancers, gourd singers, baidaj harvesting, as well as drone footage of the river near Red Mountain and of the Community itself. These additions were made to showcase the traditions and cultures of both the O’odham and Piipaash.

Another addition to the website is a high-quality image of Red Mountain, which serves as the website’s footer, as well as traditional designs along the sides of the website.

Every page of www.srpmic-nsn.gov has been revamped and refined to provide the Community with the latest up-to-date information, which includes additions received via feedback from the Community.

Gone are the block categories from the previous website design’s home page. In its place, a revamped and more organized main menu. Now, the new website contains five main categories which include events, Community resources, tribal government, economic development and a more in-depth page detailing the history of the Community. From the main menu, website visitors can find the appropriate information they need using a more precise directory.

To further enhance the visitor’s experience while browsing the new website, website visitors can now utilize the all-new search button feature.

The feature allows for a deep dive into the website, utilizing keywords to help locate the appropriate information, similar to a Google search, but specifically tailored for only SRPMIC-related information. The addition arrives after ample feedback was received from the Community regarding the need for a more user-friendly website with easier navigation.

This is in addition to the recently updated and extensive phone directory, which lists all departments within the Community. The site also allows visitors to sign up for email notifications by providing their email address.

Additionally, due to popular demand, a new weather-alert feature has been added to the upper-right-hand corner of the Community’s website page, showcasing the up-to-the-minute outdoor temperature for those warm nights and chilly mornings throughout the year.

Furthermore, the top of the page also contains the official link to the O’odham Action News website, which received an upgrade last year.

Additional links at the bottom of the newly redesigned website will continue to direct visitors to SRPMIC’s external social media pages, government services employment portal, and more.

Interested individuals can visit the all-new website at any time to find the appropriate and necessary information they need for all things related to the SRPMIC.
