SRPMIC Council Members Participate in Mul-Chu-Tha Parade

On the morning of March 18, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Council members participated in the Gila River Indian Community’s 59th Annual Mul-Chu-Tha Fair & Rodeo Parade on Blue Bird Road.

SRPMIC President Martin Harvier and Council members Jacob Butler, Michael Dallas and David Antone all rode horses in the parade, and Council members Cheryl Doka, Deanna Scabby, Mikah Carlos and Wi-Bwa Grey also participated.

The parade theme was “Celebrating Our Strength and Resilience as One,” so Council invited Journey to Recovery program participants Adrian Watters, Michael Rodriguez, Brittany Sugar, Briana Lamb and D’shawn Conger to march in the parade, holding the SRPMIC Council banner. Miss Salt River Nani Reina, Jr. Miss Salt River Tirsa Reina and family members of the Council members also participated and handed out goodies to parade spectators.
