SRPMIC Council Candidate Election Insert Process

O’odham Action News will publish its special tribal election candidate insert as part of our Sept. 3 issue.

The insert will include SRPMIC Council candidate photos and statements.

Candidates can schedule a professional headshot by appointment by calling (480) 362-7740. Photo opportunities are offered Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 1 to 4 p.m., and on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Photos will be taken at Community Relations in Two Waters building A.

Candidate statements must be 400 words or less. Statements will go through a minor edit, and candidate will be sent a final copy for approval.

The deadline for candidate information is Friday, Aug. 21 at 4 p.m. Statements/photos received after deadline will not be accepted.

SRPMIC Council Candidate Election Insert Process

The SRPMIC primary election is scheduled for Oct. 20, and the general election is scheduled for Nov. 17.

Candidates who move on to the general election will have their statements/photos run again in the Nov. 5 OAN issue.
