The Salt River Police Department’s first Coffee with a Cop event of 2024 was held on April 11 at the Round House Café. Participants grabbed their free cups of coffee and took some time to get to know some of the officers and SRPD staff.

“It’s really important that we continue to try to build a relationship and strengthen the bond that we have not only with the Community, but also with the employees of the Community as well,” said SRPD Community Relations Officer Erica Jakupi.

Jakupi said that the Round House Café was a central location in the Community and it just made sense to hold the event there.

“We thought, ‘What’s something people do in the morning?’ They’re going to get their cup of coffee,’” said Jakupi.

“We want you to feel comfortable, sit down and talk to us, and tell us what you need or what concern you might have.”
