20 SRPMIC youth took part in the Phoenix Suns Youth Basketball Camp for a week, playing with other kids from across the valley.

According to Vanessa Lechuga, SRPMIC recreation coordinator I, “Coaches from all over Arizona team up with the Phoenix Suns organization to teach [youth] basketball skills and prepare them for competitive play.” The SRPMIC youth were able to attend the basketball camp with the support of Community Recreational Services.

Throughout the week, the kids took part in basketball drills and played exhibition games. A mini tournament in the afternoon led to a championship game on the last day of the camp. After everything concluded, all youth were recognized for their participation.
