On Friday, February 21, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community’s Human Resources Community Employment Division hosted a job fair with steakhouse chain Texas Roadhouse at the Two Waters Complex.

The one-day event was held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The job fair provided Community members, as well as anyone interested, the opportunity to apply for a position at the newest Texas Roadhouse location, which is set to open on April 20 right off the 101 on Via de Ventura, adjacent to White Castle.

Community Employment has hosted job fairs in the past with companies such as Great Wolf Lodge, Staybridge Suites, Hilton and Medieval Times.

According to Community Employment Internship Specialist William Robles, the job fairs have a positive success rate for helping Community members obtain jobs.

“With more buildings developing, we can help more Community members acquire a job,” said Robles.

For more information about upcoming job openings and job fairs, contact Robles at (480) 362-6849.
