The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community held the President and Vice-President Nominee Meeting at the SRPMIC Community Building on June 2. Community members gathered to see who would be nominated for the offices of president and vice-president. 

In total, six Community members are nominated for each office. Ruben Guerrero, Salt River Materials Group Board Chair, moderated the meeting and explained how the nomination process is open to attendees who want to nominate a candidate. 

For each of the offices of president and vice president, there were four candidates each. 

Certifications for the nominees took place during an election board certification meeting on June 8 at the Two Waters building, third-floor Whirlwind conference room,

Here is the list of officially certified candidates for vice-president: David Antone, Wi-Bwa Grey, Richardo Leonard, and Darren Manuel.

The following individuals are officially certifiied as candidates for the office of president: Martin Harvier, Raymond Jimenez, Leonard Rivers and Gabriel Scabby. 

Community members can vote for the officially certified nominees, during the primary election, on July 26 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the SRPMIC Community building and Lehi Community building.
