“It was pretty fun going against people we know. It was easy but a challenge, because they know how we all play and they could shoot good,” said SRJH player Ray Angulo after their win against AZ Compass Prep.

The Eagles went on to play Dream City Christian School in the final four of the tournament’s bracket. The Eagles fell short, losing by 18 points (59-41) and ending their season.

But the season was not totally over, as head coach Miyone Roanhorse and players Beau Burns Jr. and Kylen Bonner were invited to participate in the CAA’s All-Star Showcase on Saturday, February 15, at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Roanhorse coached the North Team all-stars, which included her two SRJH players.
