The tassels continue to turn to the left side in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. 

After working hard all school year, superstar students from the SRPMIC finally got their time in the spotlight at the Lehi Community Building on June 11 for the Salt River Schools’ End of the Year Celebration for the 2025-2026 school year. 

The event honored students who have maintained a B or higher grade for the entire school year, in addition to recognizing a student who achieved perfect attendance. 

Nearly 100 students qualified for the academic celebration event, with more than 25 families attending.

Miss Indian Arizona Sialik King provided the opening blessing, and her father, Salt River Schools Education Board Chair Kyland King, offered a welcome message. 

Celesia Lewis from Salt River Schools handed out certificates of achievement to students as they were showered with gifts and well-wishes from their families and loved ones in recognition of the hard work they have accomplished in the classroom. 

Education Board member Patricia Rush asked for continued blessings to the students, their families and loved ones while celebrating another great year in the classroom.
