On the weekend of July 24 and 25, the monsoon brought significant rain across the Valley. Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Emergency Management was prepared for potential property damage, with the help of the Salt River Fire Department and Salt River Materials Group.

A limited supply of sandbags was available to SRPMIC residents at the Osborn Fire Station, Indian School Fire Substation, Lehi Fire Substation and the Salt River Materials Group’s Dobson/McKellips site.

Salt River Project advised the Community that it was releasing water into the Evergreen Wash, which extends from the Arizona Canal at Horne and Camelback south behind the Evergreen housing development under the Beeline Highway and into the Salt River.
