The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community celebrated MVPs on Father’s Day.

Senior Services held an annual luncheon to celebrate Father’s Day for Community seniors on June 12.

The celebration took place at the Lehi Community Building, and both guest and staff were encouraged to dress in their favorite sports jerseys. The sports-themed luncheon was a way to honor and celebrate “the MVPs of our families and our Community.” The sports theme was a heartfelt tribute to show gratitude to all fathers for their guidance, love, and unwavering support. The wins in life that matter the most. 

 As the music played throughout the room, a barbecue-style lunch was served for guests to enjoy. Later, the Salt River Police Department provided Dad’s Old Fashioned Root Beer for the gentlemen in attendance. 

Sports-themed confetti and streamers decorated the tables, along with 14 balloon centerpieces that were shaped like trophies and had the words “Most Valuable Papa” printed across the front. Each centerpiece was entered into a raffle that was only available to the dads in attendance. 

A photo booth was available for all to capture the moment and share memories with friends and family. As a way to show appreciation to all the fathers in attendance, staff presented departure gifts to guests as they began leaving.
