Can you summarize your educational background?

I attended South mouth community college for a few semesters and it didn’t feel like home. On the other hand, I ended up transferring to Scottsdale community college and it felt just right! I felt more comfortable, for one being closer to home and two the teachers that came along with the classes attending Scottsdale made me more confident in having a voice, expressing my opinion about certain topics.

Describe your most rewarding college experience?

I took a public speaking class and honestly that was the best decision I could’ve made, it helped me step outside my comfort zone and be more vocal, keeping the conversation flowing.

What are your future plans?

I am planning to attend Mesa Community college to fin ish my bachelors degree in Early childhood education.

What do you hope to accomplish in the next ten years?

Being able to accommodate for child’s educational needs and opportunities, Being a future teacher at our school here at the elementary school at salt river.

Who or what influenced you to go to school?

Seeing my older sister go through the failed tests, late n ight essays, heading to 7am classes, picking her own specific classes and days. It made me realize how ambitious she is to strive to get straight A’s, so my sister Daycee Achin

Did you face any obstacles while attending college/university, and how did you get through it?

Math was hard for me, but i managed to fin d help through our website scottsdale community college about fin ding an on lin e tutor able to webex and help me study while being able to physically see the person.

What advice would you give people considering higher education?

Reaching out to check in here and there, I know everyone may not like it but it helped me when I got flyers or a message from my advisor to turn in in formation before specific due dates.
