Before spring training began, front-of-the-house employees at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick participated in a cultural training led by Salt River Cultural Resources Department OPLP outreach coordinator, Cody Achin. Staff learned about the history and culture of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, helping to ensure guests are welcomed with a deeper understanding of the land and community that host the ballpark. The training was made possible through the Cultural Awareness Program led jointly by Discover Salt River and CRD.
