The Community Christmas program in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community had something for everyone.
The annual event took place Saturday, December 7, at the Two Waters Courtyard and featured a kids’ zone, 40-plus vendor booths and a gingerbread house contest by the Huhugam Ki: Museum. There was also the opportunity to make toasted marshmallow and chocolate sandwich snacks.
Mariachi Chapala took the stage for about an hour, playing holiday hits and other songs. Candy bags also were distributed during the five-hour event, which wrapped up with a visit by Santa.
