Employee Halloween Costume Contest Brings Scare to Two Waters

By

The annual Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Employee Halloween Costume Contest has become one of the more popular celebrations in recent memory. This year’s contest was hosted by the Human Resources Department on October 31 and featured a wide variety of creative characters: Batman, Juggernaut from the X-Men comics, Oogie Boogie from the film “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” an alien riding a spaceship from the film “Mars Attacks!” and “Mr. Purple Rain” himself, Prince.

HR Director Steve Haydukovich served as the emcee for the event, which took place in the Two Waters Courtyard. There were nearly 50 participants in this year’s contest, and the judges awarded cash prizes to the top three costumes.

Second Place: Prince and Ryuk (from the anime series “Death Note”): Nathaniel Nickels and Adrian Tobar.
